The MMORPG DOFUS was counting 900,000 players on 04/05/06.
At a rate of 5,000 new players daily, the symbolic number of a million registered players will soon be reached. To face such crowds, a 5th game server has been added on April 25. It’s already hosting numerous connections with peaks counting more than 3,000 players connected simultaneously.
This very same day, Ankama was proposing a new version of DOFUS, not only including new cards, new monsters, new quests and new items but also new pets for newly subscribed players, as well as items from gears for the long-time subscribers. It’s such a success that the studio is going to develop this rewarding system for the most loyal players of DOFUS.
All these results allow us to be optimistic regarding the future release of the long awaited extension “The Dragoturkey Riders” scheduled for July 2006 which will include the first mounts and the connected breeding professions. Plus, in September 2006, Ankama will be glad to inform you the launching of German, Spanish and Portuguese versions of DOFUS and Dofus-Arena.
