The Matrix Online: The Other Side of the Looking Glass - 06/09/2006 (http://thematrixonline.station.sony.com/players/news_archive.vm?id=133&month=current)
From the responses I saw about last week’s article, what you want to hear about most is upcoming developments for the game.
At the top of the list is fixing some nagging bugs and other issues. Some of our development time will always be focused on this, especially when there are issues that reduce the enjoyment of the game. For example, the “Target Not In Range” spam due to weapons not auto-equipping. It’s a small issue that causes a lot of annoyance. Those are things we’re hot to fix.
And, of course, there’s the episodic content (i.e., critical missions). This also will always be part of our dev cycle. Fifteen new missions every six weeks may not seem like much, but it does eat up a good chunk of time. One of the reasons we work on a six-week schedule now is to allow extra time for our designers to work on things other than missions.
