Forums Transition
No, the forums transition has not gone smoothly. Yes, there have been some serious bugs and security issues. Yes, we and some of the other communities get to be the "guinea pigs" for the rest of the communities. And our experiences are going to help them not to go through the same issues.
Does that suck for us? Yes. But someone had to be first and it was better to go through this with the amount of data we have versus the amount that EQII or SWG have. There are certainly things we could have done to keep some of our current problems from happening and we're making sure those lessons are learned internally.
SOE Block Party
There's not much more to say on the dev side this week, as we're mostly working on bug fixes at the moment. But even with all the community issues that have come up this week, I am so looking forward to the SOE Block Party tomorrow. Our count as of yesterday was well over 500 and climbing--and that's just folks who RSVP'ed!
One of the main reasons I'm looking forward to it is it sounds like we're going to have the biggest turn out of MxO players at any SOE event to date.
