It can be hard to get close to someone. Especially in MechWarrior Online, where the people you want to get close to are riding walking battle tanks designed to vaporize you at long range. But the newly added Quickdraw is all about getting in close, at which point it can unleash the full might of its short-range missile launchers and medium lasers. Which is probably why people don't want to get close to one another in the first place, really.Continue reading Quickdraw added to MechWarrior Online's hangar

Are you ready to start leveling in Star Wars: The Old Republic? More to the point, would you like to level a whole lot faster? That's good, because you're going to have the chance to do just that starting this weekend. Double experience weekends are back for the next three weekends, including an extra-long version during the fourth of July, so that all of your characters can enjoy the freedom to scream up in levels and possibly skip some of the more tedious planets.Double your pleasure and double your experience in Star Wars: The Old Republic originally appeared on Massively on Tue, 18 Jun 2013 19:00:00 EST. for me it'd be conquer online. You need to spend money to do well in pvp(thats what teh game is about). With money you could buy everything in the ah including exp balls, and gear. Someone could start at lvl 1 and get to max lvl and have the best gear without working for it or killing a single mob. Just need the cash.
explain why its pay to win

SO I have been a huge fan of the Borderlands series, and I realized that one of the most awesome qualities of that game isn't the game play itself, but the story. However I do like to get a legendary Item once in a while (for all those who don't play borderlands a legendary item is a powerful weapon that has a very low chance to drop from a fallen enemies corpse, and generally are very powerful). It seems though that the chances are so low that the only way is to "grind" for hours and hours on a boss until it drops and even then your not guaranteed one. As some one who has actually done this I can tell you it gets frustrating, and puts a bad taste in my mouth about the game itself. Unfortunately many MMORPGs have been doing the grind game as a substitute for better gameplay. for example a game may boast 20+ hours of game play but how much of that is traveling to an area, fighting the same monsters over and over, or watching cut scenes/quick time events (Morrowwind was an example of this and so when fast travel was created that became the new standard). Now I am not trying to say that all games that involve grind are bad games, but what I would like is to reward people for grinding, more so then what is being done now. for example in Borderlands you have a certain percent chance that such and such item will drop from an enemy, I think it would be cool if Borderlands could record how many times you have "grinded" on that boss, and increases the chances of rarer loot by a small margin per instance. I also think that this would be a useful technique for other MMORPGs. Imagine you are guaranteed an Item (not maybe), how much more would you be willing to work for that item, thus the games would be played more for the fact that there is a realistic goal that can be achieved. Anyway just my thoughts this morning tell me what you think.
